As a follow-up to my
previous post on fiction that tells the truth about art, I'd like to share the book I'm currently enjoying:
Apprentice to the Flower Poet Z by Debra Weinstein. Reviewers called this 2005 tome Devil Wears Prada for the poetry set, and they were spot on. Its opening lines: "This is the story of how I came to momentary prominence in the world of poetry, and, through a series of misunderstandings, destroyed my good name and became a nobody. It was fall, my junior year." Nice
